Timing Belts
The loothed timing belt is used in modern automobile engines to drive the camshaft, which controls
the combustion gases by valves and which must be timed with the crankshaft.
The design of the cross section and the structure of the belt have been the subject of ongoing development
aimed at optimising the synchronous drive.
One result of this development for example is increased operational reliability in a minimum of space.
